Category:Sharp

The Sharp category is one of the most popular weapon types, being the home of daggers, 1 handed swords, 2 handed greatswords, and the interchangeable bastard swords. They have a dramatic range of damages, speeds, and lengths. The only true commonality between the weapons is their ability to do swing-based damage with their horizontal swing (with varying levels of effectiveness), and an often feature a very effective stab.

There is a sub-set of sharp weapons that are Pierce-based weapons (like the Shortsword) that don't rely primarily on their swing for damage. There are also a few swing-blunt weapons in this category, but they're relatively uncommon.

Axes, in spite of being swing-heavy weapons, actually count as a separate category due to their damage typing.
