The Cudgel is one of the simplest weapons in the arsenal, a wooden club that is best used to overwhelm opponents inclose with blunt damage."[1]

The Cudgel is a common secondary. It is currently the only means by which an Archer can perform blunt damage besides the sling or his fists.

The Cudgel is an anti-knight weapon, thanks to its blunt damage and incredible speed. It's one of the fastest weapons in the game, capable of interrupting foes almost as consistently as the Dagger class but with higher damage and range. This is one of the best examples of a "beserker" weapon, and is an ideal choice for anyone who embraces a highly aggressive playstyle.

The Cudgel's effectiveness is directly related with the user's familiarity with the weapon, as consistent combos are required to compensate for the weapon's below-average damage. The high speed of the weapon makes this more difficult than one would think, but very rewarding if done correctly and repeatedly. Mastering overhead combos is highly recommended, as it would directly increase your damage output. Stabs with this weapon are very weak, and not recommended except to finish off foes.
